So far today has consisted of reducing the weight on my recurve a bit and playing with brace height. I’ve also been exposed to the awesomeness of a stabilizer.
-Loosened limb bolts 4.5 turns each from their maxed out position. Reduction in weight has made a world of difference. When I feel like it much later I may experiment with positive tiller.
-At 25 twists I’m sitting at a comfy 9” and the bow is shooting the smoothest I’ve ever felt. The homemade stabilizer has made it much easier to keep that pin on target as well although I’m gonna purchase a “fita-style sight ring" from an ArcheryTalk member very soon.
-Homemade stabilizer is just plain awesome, and now I just need to get creative about adding weight to the end.
All in all a great day so far. In the photo that is the very first group I shot with the new ‘tuning’ and stabilizer at ~10 meters. I’ve marked out an 18m [59ft] line and will try that a little later today with the X7s. Nice to be shooting again after a 4 day vacation :P
